The group is criticized for not doing comedy, but their previous play was A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is a comedy. Late Night with Seth Meyers Starring: Anna Faris / Coleman Domingo / Jose Medeles (2024).
I caught this movie last night at a blind screening at our local theater complex
I probably wouldn’t have chosen to see it if I had known what it was, but I’m thankful I did. Its strengths are its moving, honest portrayals of some of the program’s cast (especially Clarence McLean and Sean Johnson) and the work of Coleman Domingo.
The cinematography and direction give the performances an honesty without overwhelming them and using an approach that makes the viewer feel like they are witnessing the conversations and events rather than consuming them
